As of February 18, 2010, Chanonee has a new OA Chapter Adviser. Greg Leakakos assumes his new role after serving for the past several years as a Scoutmaster and on the District Staff (Webelos to Scout Transition Chair and on the Training Team). Just to make sure that you have the most up to date activities information, I am giving you the dates until the end of the school year. February 6 Klondike Derby at Cantigny if you arent involved in the Klondike, come in at 10am and help the OA make lunch. Bring a can of soup. We will heat up the soup; serve hot dogs, chips and drinks to all participants. We need help serving.Feb. 11 Chapter meeting at Gary Memorial on Main Street in Wheaton at 7:30. Help plan the rest of the year with us. Want to go swimming, have a video game lock in, tell me what you want to do.Feb. 23-24 kick off meeting for CFL Boy Scout Camp. Stop by either night and see the video and pick up your packet. Even if you are not attending in 2010, pick up the material for 2011. A patrol of 6-8 scouts can attend CFL for a week to scope out the camp, and report back to your troop. They can work on merit badges, take a high adventure trip like: Devils Lake Climbing and Repelling, canoeing down the Wisconsin river, cave spelunking, bike on the Sparta Elroy trail, go on our low and/or high COPE course or just snorkel, scuba dive, kayak, check out our human foosball field, climbing tower, and so many other activities to chose from. March 6 Merit Badge University at York HS in Elmhurst. We will have a Brotherhood conversion at 1:15 pm. Stop by the OA table in the Midway to register. You must be an Ordeal member for at least 10 months. Worksheet on the OAlodge41 website.March 11 Chapter meetingMarch 26-27 Bowl-A-Thon at Brunswick Zone in Naperville on Aurora Rd just east of Rt.59. Cost is $35 until 3/12 then $40 or pay at the door $40 per person. Unlimited bowling, video games, rides, billiards, pizza, pop and at 5am donuts and juice. Non-OA members invited, bring the troop. Registration on the OAlodge41.org website.April 8 Chapter meetingApril 23-24 Open house at CFL. Bring out your troop and camp for free. Bring your tents and food and we provide the entertainment. The foosball area, climbing tower and range will be open. CFL staff will be available for tours and questions. Register with Pete Dillenburg at the scout office. May 13 Chapter meeting?? To be decided in April. Maybe just meet at park to play a sport.May 14-15 Camporall and Scout-O-Rama at Cantigny and St. James Forest Preserve. The OA lodge will have a Lodge callout. More information on our District website and council website. June 4-6 Spring Fellowship at CFL 1st chance for the Ordeal candidates to do their Ordeal. Brotherhood conversion will also be done. We will have a Vigil nomination meeting. All members are welcome to come out and do a day of service to help CFL open the camp or come out and just have fun and fellowship. Register on the lodge website.June 27 - is the first week of Boy Scout Camp. On each Monday during the summer, we will have an OA members ice cream social. Tuesday is Brotherhood Conversion. Wednesday is our call out and when candidates arrive at CFL to do their ordeal (must call ahead). All questions should be directed to Diane Buri, Chanonee Chapter Advisor

Roundtable and Order of the Arrow Meetings are held at Gary Memorial Methodist Church in Wheaton. The District Committee Meetings and Key 3 Meetings are held at Hope Presbyterian Church in Wheaton. The location of the District Commissioners Meetings will be announced prior to each meeting. Meeting times will remain the same.
