Chanonee District's Feather in the Cap Award
What is the Feather in the Cap Award?
This award is designed for the one individual in your unit that just goes above and beyond the call of his/her volunteer responsibilities.
How does one get nominated for this award?
The selection process for your unit should be designed and implemented by your
unit's committee. A suggested committee maybe one committee member, one
uniformed leader, and one parent.
Once the individual has been selected, it is the responsibility of the committee chair to
fill out the Feather in the Cap recipient form. When completed, please turn it in to
Pat Kronenwetter-District Chairman or Luke Jones-District Commissioner.
Please Note: The recipient does not have to be a registered leader.
Once this form has been received, the selected individuals will get a personal invitation to
attend the Chanonee Celebration whereby he/she will receive their award of appreciation. It's
that simple! What a fun way to recognize your volunteers! It would be nice if your unit also
made an effort to attend the Celebration to support your choice of recipient.
This year's Celebration will be on April 14, 2011 at
St. John the Baptist Church, 0S233 Church Street, Winfield, IL.
The deadline for all recipient forms to be turned in is April 6, 2011.
This will allow enough time for invitations to go out and awards to be prepared.
