    April Roundtable and More

posted Apr 3, 2013, 2:22 PM by Chanonee District

    ROUNDTABLE

Please join us on April 11th at First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton located at 715 North Carlton Ave, Wheaton.  Roundtable will begin at 7:30.

    CAMP CARDS TURN IN

Even though the sale officially ended on April 1st, any money collected and turned in by April 15th will count for the prizes.  Money turned in after that will not count toward prizes.  Further, units turning in money after May 1st will only get to keep 25% of the total rather than the 50% for money turned in before then.

On another note, I have had several units ask if they can keep selling the cards.  I have told them that they can continue to sell the cards as long as they understand that money turned in after the 15th will not count toward prizes.  As such, if a unit wants to keep selling, turn in the money they have now by the 15th so that the boys qualify for the prizes.  If they intend to sell past May 1, have them turn in the remaining money by then so that they get the 50%.

    DISTRICT DINNER

Chanonnee District will be holding their District Dinner on May 9th.  During the dinner we will be awarding the District Award of Merit and the Feather in the Cap Award.  If you know of some great volunteers who helped out in 2013 please submit the below applications no later than April 19th.  Please keep an eye out for more information about our District Dinner. CHANONEE DAY CAMP HELP

We are looking for help to run the Chanonee Day Camp.  We need your help to run stations including archery and BB.  If you help out the entire week your son can attend day camp for free.  We are also looking for help from troops and friends of families.  Anyone you know that is free between the week of July 8 and 12th are welcome to help out.

    FRIENDS OF SCOUTING

If your unit has concluded their Friends of Scouting presentation please let me know if you have any FOS cards that need to be turned in.  I can pick them up from you or your FOS Chair.

    SPRING RECRUITMENT

It seems spring will never happen especially with the snow we received today, but it will be here before we know it.  Don’t forget to turn in your Spring Recruitment dates so that we can be of assistance that evening.  Materials can be ordered online

    ROUNDTABLE

Please join us on March 14th at First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton located at 715 North Carlton Ave, Wheaton.  Roundtable will begin at 7:30.

    CAMP CARDS

The camp card sale will be coming to an end and you will have to have the extra cards or money turned in by April 15th.  I will be sending out reminders as we get closer to that date.  Any cards that are reconciled after April 15th will not have the opportunity for prizes.  Let’s not let that happen and turn in all cards prior to April 15th.
